Description
Vaccine against Microsporum canis in dogs and cats.
Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:

-Microsporum canis inact. min. 500,000 vegetative forms,
-algeldratum,
-sodium chloride solution.
Target animal

species:
Dogs and cats.
Indications:
For the prophylaxis and treatment of cutaneous mycosis in dogs and cats, caused by the dermatophyte Microsporum canis, starting from the age of 12 weeks.
Contraindications:
Serious febrile illnesses. Vaccination of bitches and pregnant cats is not recommended. Other prophylactic immunizations, one week before the first vaccination and 14 days after the second (or third) vaccination (apart from vaccinations with Biocan products).
Interactions:
Always administer Biocan M separately (never use it as a diluent for lyophilized vaccines or mixed with other Biocan liquid vaccines). Any other Biocan vaccine (Puppy, P, DP, DH, DHP, DHPPi, L, R, LR, C) can be administered simultaneously with Biocan M at a separate point (preferably on the opposite side).
Dosage per species:
1 ml regardless of the age, weight or breed of the animal.

Cellular and partially humoral immunity is induced in the inoculated animals.

Immunity is formed within a month after revaccination and lasts at least one year.

Annual vaccination is recommended to maintain permanent immunity.

Animals vaccinated for the first time must be revaccinated at least once in an interval of 14 – 21 days.

In the case of therapeutic vaccination, a third vaccination will be carried out 18-24 days after the revaccination, if necessary.
Dosage and method of administration:
Dogs:

strictly intramuscular, in the muscles of the pelvic limb.
Cats:

subcutaneously, in a point behind the back or intramuscularly, in the muscles of the pelvic limb. It is preferable to vaccinate on the left side of the body, so that the revaccination is done on the right side.
Side effects:
Sometimes a local reaction (the size of a pea) can be observed at the inoculation site, which disappears in three weeks.

Hypersensitivity can only be detected exceptionally.
