Warnings
During intravenous infusion, monitor the rhythm and heart rate. Overdose: high doses of calcium salts, injected too rapidly intravenously, can cause the onset of cardiac symptoms (palpitations, arrhythmias, cardiac arrest). Against these forms of intoxication, the use of the disodium salt of edetic acid, a chelator of ionic calcium (EDTA) or magnesium sulphate intravenously may be useful. Prolonged treatments, rare in clinical practice, can lead to intoxication, characterized by muscle weakness, neurological disorders, polydipsia, polyuria, bone pain, nephrocalcinosis, renal calculosis, cardiac arrhythmias, coma.
Incompatibility:
avoid mixing with drugs based on bicarbonates, phosphates and sulphates and tetracyclines.
Composition and Excipients
Qb to 1 ml.
Interactions with other products
Calcium salts reduce the absorption of tetracyclines and cephalosporins, so their concomitant administration is not recommended. Concomitant administration of vitamin D stimulates intestinal absorption of calcium and decreases renal elimination.
How to store the product
Store away from light and heat sources.
