DESCRIPTION

Formula

Each mL contains:

Hexamethylene tetramine (methanamine) 40 g

Hexamethyleneamine salicylate 10 g

Trimethyl xanthine (caffeine) 1 g

Injectable grade water, cbp 100 mL.

Indications

Hexamethylene tetramine (urotropin (ch2)5n4) is an antiseptic of the urinary and biliary tract with dissolving action of uric acid, which acts against phosphaturia. Its antibacterial activity occurs by releasing a formaldehyde in an acidic medium. It works against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria including Escherichia coli, therefore, it can be used together with antibiotics, if therapy suggests it. Trimethyl xanthine (caffeine) is a compound of methylated xanthines, it is indicated to stimulate diuresis and as a cardiac tonic, it relaxes smooth muscles, especially bronchial muscles, decreases peripheral vascular resistance and increases the basal metabolic rate. ENDOSEPTINE® is indicated for decongestion of the urinary tract. Due to its cholagogue action in emptying the gallbladder and eliminating bile, it acts by reducing inflammation of the liver and gallbladder. ENDOSEPTINE® tones the heart muscle. ENDOSEPTINE® has decongestant effects and moderate diuretic activity, which is why it is applied to racehorses after having participated in an event where there is great muscular activity. The elimination of uric acid helps prevent muscle pain (azoturia, hemoglobinuric myositis or "Monday sickness", "aches" or post-race muscle pain). ENDOSEPTINE® is indicated in sows, when "piglet itching" occurs; Due to excessive milk consumption, formaldehyde is eliminated in the sow's milk, which causes the piglet to suck in moderation. It is indicated in the treatment of some nephritis, infectious hepatitis and diseases that affect the central nervous system such as encephalitis, encephalomyelitis and borna disease.

Dose

Equines and cattle:

20 mL.

Calves and foals:

10 mL Small cattle and canines: 2 - 5 mL.
