DESCRIPTION

Reg. SAGARPA Q-1069-219

Injectable

Hemoparasiticide against Piroplasmosis (Babesiosis) and Anaplasmosis

FORMULA:

Each ml contains:

  • Imidocarb dipropionate 120.0 mg
  • Cyanocobalamin 4.0 mg

CBP vehicle 1.0 ml

USE ON:

Beef and dairy cattle, horses and canines.

INDICATIONS:

For the treatment and control of Anaplasmosis and Piroplasmosis (Babesiosis).

PROPERTIES:

In the Imiplasm-B ® formulation , there is imidocarb dipropionate, which is an antihematozoan that belongs to the diaminidine group. This substance controls babesias and anaplasmas found in the blood, reducing their number; By not completely eradicating them, it allows the parasitized animal to develop a solid immunity against this pathological entity. On the other hand, imidocarb maintains a preventive effect against the disease up to 1 month after treatment.

Imiplasm-B ® has the following mechanism of action: it inhibits the energy metabolism and DNA synthesis of the parasite. In the first case it blocks the aerobic metabolism of glucose, in the second it inhibits DNA synthesis, this is observed in the nucleus of the cells and the kinetoplast of the parasite; Upon further observation, it is concluded that Imiplasm-B® breaks the mitochondrial activity of Babesia, which leads to its death. In addition, Imiplasm-B ® modifies the size of the nucleus and vacuolizes the cytoplasm of the parasite cells.

With the aforementioned therapeutic activity, Imiplasm-B® paralyzes the parasite in a few hours, this allows the animal's organic defense systems to act on the babesia very quickly.

Imiplasm-B ® is metabolized and eliminated slowly, it is found for prolonged periods in the plasma and tissues, and it is excreted gradually. It is concentrated at the kidney level, where it is reabsorbed, and then metabolized in the liver, eliminated through urine and feces.

Imiplasm-B ®  is less toxic and more effective than aromatic diamidines and carbanilides.

Imiplasm-B ® is enriched with cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), which is essential for the synthesis of hemoglobin; It must be remembered that hematozoans destroy many red blood cells, which can cause anemia, jaundice and hemoglobinuria (blood in the urine). This vitamin helps in cell development and keeps the nervous system in good functional condition.

The combination of imidocarb dipropionate and cyanocobalamin contributes to the rapid recovery of the treated animals.
