DESCRIPTION
INDICATIONS OF USE
Rhodocín® is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the Macrolide family that is used to treat bacterial infections, particularly those caused by Rhodococcus Equi in foals.
When Azithromycin is used to treat R.equi, it can be used alone or in combination with the antibiotic Rifampicin.
Indicated for the treatment of respiratory, dermatological, urogenital, digestive and osteoarticular infections caused by bacteria and coccidia susceptible to Azithromycin.
Wound Infections and Open or Drained Abscesses Associated with Streptococcus spp. And Staphilococcus spp.
Proven efficacy against Gram (-) microorganisms such as Gastrointestinal Infections associated with Escherichia Coli, Haemophylus influenzae, Bordetella spp., Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Bordetella burdogferi and Toxoplasma spp.
DOSAGE
10 mg / KPV.
1/2 syringe of 36 g total with 3 gr. Azithromycin for an animal of 150 KPV.
Potrillos:
6 grs of Pasta each 50 kg of live weight. / 24 hours
Adult horses:
6 grs of Pasta each 50 kg of live weight. / 24 hours
INTERVALO BETWEEN DOSE
Every 24 hours.
TREATMENT DURATION
7 consecutive days, once a day until the clinical signs stabilize, following the administration every other day, until the resolution of the disease.
