3. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE(S)
Dextran and iron (III) complex 10 g/100 ml
4. THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in piglets and calves.
5. CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to iron dextran, renal failure, hepatic impairment, anemia caused by factors other than iron deficiency.
6. SIDE EFFECTS
Piglets may occasionally develop symptoms of anaphylactic shock and, in extreme cases, death.
In the event of adverse reactions following the administration of this product or the observation of any disturbing symptoms not listed in the leaflet (including symptoms in humans resulting from contact with the drug), please inform the appropriate veterinarian, the responsible entity or the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products.

7. TARGET ANIMAL SPECIES
Pig, cattle.
8. DOSAGE AND ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION
Administer intramuscularly in the thigh region or intraperitoneally (which is recommended in piglets) in doses:
Piglets :
preventively:
2 ml/head (equivalent to 200 mg iron) on the 4th day of life.
If necessary, repeat after 3 weeks.
therapeutically:
2 ml/piece (equivalent to 200 mg iron) immediately after the onset of anemia symptoms.
In the case of severe disease, double the dose or repeat administration after 10-14 days.
Calves :
5 ml/head (equivalent to 500 mg of iron).

11. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE
AND TRANSPORT
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the label.
12. SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS, IF NECESSARY
The preparation should not be administered together with tetracyclines and chelating agents, because iron salts may form sparingly soluble complexes with them, preventing their absorption.
Symptoms of overdose include pallor and erosions of mucous membranes, dark stools, bloody diarrhea, tachycardia, hypotension, shock symptoms, and dyspnea and apathy.
In case of overdose, iron ion chelating agents should be administered.
13. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or garbage.
Ask your vet about ways to dispose of useless medications.
They will allow for better environmental protection.
